Several support groups help the County Library by providing funding for library materials, equipment, and furnishings, improvements of buildings and grounds and library programs. Among these groups is the Bolinas Stinson Beach Library Improvement Society which provides support for the Bolinas and Stinson Beach branches.

The Bolinas-Stinson Beach Library Improvement Society (BSBLIS) is dedicated to fostering library use, reading and literacy, as well as prioritizing adjunct cultural and educational activities. BSBLIS collaborates with librarians and the community to enhance a vibrant library program through advocacy, financial and other support for the three libraries -- Bolinas, Stinson Beach, and the Bolinas-Stinson Beach School.

The Bolinas-Stinson Beach Library Improvement Society meets quarterly at the Bolinas School campus.

The members of the Board are: Carroll Botvinick, Judy Buchanan, Joan Gamble, Katie Fox, Doris Lindfors (Emeritus), Janet Morgan, Bill Robbins, Linda Samuels (Coordinator) , Judith Shaw (Corresponding Secretary), Sandy Thomas, and Tom Willard.
