Visit Our New Web Site

Library We are pleased to announce the launch of our new adult services website. The new site features a new look and feel, improved organization and navigation, and revised content. We hope that these changes will help our patrons connect and communicate better with our library.

The URL for our new site is http://www.marinlibrary.org. Please adjust your links and bookmarks accordingly.

Later this year, we will launch new versions of our Kids, Teens, and California Room sites as well. The new sites will have a similar layout and organization to the new adult services site.

Continuing in the footsteps of Weiss Ratings' publication of well-respected ratings information, TheStreet.com offers a box set of consumer guides in the following eight subjects:

In honor of our commitment to the annual One Book One Marin program, the Marin County Free Library was presented with a very special plaque - the 2009 poster for Dave Egger's "What is the What" signed by the author and by the amazing man who inspired the book, Valentino Achak Deng. One Book One Marin

The Book Place

News from The Book Place

Beginning in June, The Book Place will now be open on Mondays, 10am-4pm. That means we're open 7 days a week. If you haven't yet been to the Book Place, now you have another opportunity to get there and see what we offer--the best prices on used books in the county. And the best part is, all proceeds benefit the county library.

Bargain Sunday (the first Sunday of every month) is June 7, and this month we'll feature the following categories:
50% off of True Adventure, Literature, Science Fiction, Education/Writing, and Crafts/Do It Yourself. Additionally, hardcover Mystery titles are 50% off for the entire month of June (except those in our "Newer Fiction" section), so stock up on your summer reading!

The Book Place is run by the knowledgeable volunteers of the Friends of the Marin County Free Library a nonprofit organization devoted to raising funds for the libraries. You can help by volunteering at the store, by becoming a member of the Friends and by donating books and buying books at The Book Place.

BOOKMOBILE
The Marin County Free Library Bookmobile visits geographically isolated communities throughout the County. Most stops are made twice within a four-week period each month. Copies of the Bookmobile schedule are available at all County Library branches and on the Bookmobile’s webpage.

He tries to balance his life and has to contend with the never-ending demands of 2 ex-wives, his ice-queen studio head, and a menagerie of various Hollywood prima donnas. Ben manages to take it all in stride. He copes by exuding a smoothly assuring demeanor. The only thing that really seems to upset Ben is when he discovers that his ex-wife sleeps with one of his colleagues.
