If you try to live your life keeping the
buzz words green and sustainable firmly in mind, then your local library should
be part of your weekly routine. The books and audio books we purchase are read
not by one person and then sent on to the landfill, but continue to be enjoyed
year in and year out by dozens of readers. Our magazines and newspapers are
shared by the entire community. Going electronic to save trees? E-books and
magazines are available at the push of a button.
Behind the scenes we are pushing to become
greener too:
Printing less and using two sided printing when we can
Recycling paper and batteries
Reducing our staff's
vehicle use by using electronic communication instead of meetings when
possible
