Patron eBook
usage is on the rise! Our most popular collection so far is Digital
Books, which offers a huge selection of free downloadable audiobooks, mostly
bestselling fiction, as well as downloadable eBooks in Adobe and Mobipocket
format. The collection also includes romance, non-fiction, self-help, classics,
popular teen fiction, and travel books. As an example, travelers can download
a guide to New York City to a PDA instead of lugging a heavy guidebook around.
Or listen to a book by one of your favorite authors while commuting, walking,
or working around the house or garden.
The Marin County Free Library shares these collections with other libraries
in the state. When a book is available, you can "check it out" or download it
for the designated period of time. Details are available at http://califa.lib.overdrive.com.
Take a moment to look around our eBook
Collections or browse our catalog for ebooks using our Quick
Search feature. You will need a Marin library card and a PIN to access the
collections. At this time, MacIntosh computers and iPods are not compatible
with downloadable audiobooks available in libraries.
