All the following titles are due to be issued in July 2004. In some cases, the library hasn't yet ordered the title. If you would like to ask that any of the not-yet-ordered titles be ordered, please use this link: http://marinet.lib.ca.us/acquire. Thanks!

book cover What Happened to Henry by Sharon Pywell
Is it just the strain of holding together his dysfunctional family in picture-perfect Cold War America that makes young Henry crack? His sister thinks not. Pitched as a word-of-mouth debut to rival Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time or Carolyn Parkhurst's The Dogs of Babel.
book cover The Right Word in the Right Place at the Right Time by William Safire
More "On Language" columns for Safire's fans.
book cover The Cat's Pajamas: New Stories by Ray Bradbury
The subtitle says it all.
book cover Four Souls by Louise Erdrich

book cover Little Scarlet: An Easy Rawlins Mystery by Walter Mosley
Easy goes after the killer who did in a red-headed woman named Little Scarlet at the height of the Watts riots.
book cover Garden of Beasts: A Novel of Berlin 1936 by Jefferey Deaver
How can a principled hit man avoid doing prison time in 1930s New York? By agreeing to pose as an Olympic athlete at the Berlin games and then snuffing out Reinhardt Ernst, the man behind Germany's rearmament. With a 14-city author tour.
book cover Second Chance by Danielle Steel
Can the high-flying editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine find happiness with a conservative Madison Avenue type? Is this a Danielle Steel novel?

Listen to Frank Lloyd & Others who Have Shaped the Marin County Civic Center

Frank Lloyd Wright's speeches to the citizens of Marin in 1957 and 1958 and interviews with others who played a key role in the history of the Marin County Civic Center, will form the basis of an inter-active site created by the Anne T. Kent California Room, to premiere at the 2004 Marin County Fair on July 1. After July 1, you will also be able to access this site on the web at: http://www.co.marin.ca.us/library/crm/wright.html

The past will come alive as architects Frank Lloyd Wright, William Wesley Peters and Aaron Green, former Supervisor Vera Schultz, and others, speak about the design and creation of Marin’s landmark government center and fairgrounds. The recordings used for this site are from the oral history archive of the Anne T. Kent California Room. Thanks to a grant from Supervisor, Annette Rose, eight new interviews were conducted especially for the 2004 Marin County Fair.
