Valerie Ansel (1892-1988)
Interview Date: July 12, 1976

A Marin teacher and principal for over 46 years, Valerie took her first job in Tomales in 1913 for $75.00 per month. She taught in San Anselmo from 1914 to 1959, and shares her memories of teaching many prominent Marin residents. Valerie comments on how teaching has changed, and makes a plea for the return to basic instruction.
