Pierce Thompson (1905-1994)

Pierce was the grandson of Jefferson A. Thompson, who founded the Marin Cheese Company in 1865. Pierce, who at the time of this interview ran the 42-person business, explains the chemistry behind cheese making, and the process by which it is distributed. So far, four generations of Thompsons have been involved in this successful family business.
