JAN NOVIE
Interviewed by Marilyn Geary
April 9, 2004

Jan Novie at Aaron G. Green Associates,
San Francisco, April 9, 2004.
Jan Novie, President of Aaron G. Green Associates, has been a member of the firm for nearly forty years. For thirty-five of those years, he worked closely with the firm’s founder, Aaron Green, a protégé and longtime Associate of Frank Lloyd Wright.

When Novie first joined Aaron Green in 1964, the entire firm was involved with the Marin County Hall of Justice project. Novie worked closely with Aaron Green on the final inspection of that building to make sure that every detail was up to Wright’s standards.

During his tenure with Aaron G. Green Associates, Novie has worked on an extensive range of projects including programming and design for civic buildings, educational and institutional structures, large-scale public housing projects and religious buildings.

In the excerpts below, Mr. Novie sheds light on several of Frank Lloyd Wright’s key associates, including Aaron Green.
