Ida Scott (1896-1989)

Ida Scott Belvedere's Outstanding Woman of the Year shares her remarkable 40 years of public service in Marin County as Founder of Northgate and the Marin Art and Garden Center. She has been President or Board Member of the following Marin charitable organizations: Sunny Hills; Marin Charitable Association; Marin Conservation League; Marin Music Chest; Dominican College Citizen Advisory Committee; Hearing and Speech Center; Marin General Hospital; and the Belvedere-Tiburon Museum Auxilary. She was Fire Commissioner of Belvedere, and the first woman elected to the City Council.
