Irma Leonhart Litz (1894-1986)
Interview date: January 13, 1976
Irma Leonhart Litz Irma describes her life in San Anselmo circa 1903. She recalls her early school days, the 4th of July parades, the snowstorm of 1912, taking buggy rides, and early hotels in the area. She also tells of former stores and houses on San Anselmo Avenue. A “city girl” at heart, Irma dropped out of San Rafael High School in her senior year to go to business school in San Francisco.
