George was an architect and the son of famed environmentalist Caroline Sealy Livermore. He shares memories of his mother’s community involvement with the Marin Audubon Society, the Marin Conservation League and the Marin Art and Garden Center. He describes how she persuaded the State to acquire private lands such as Stinson Beach, Camp Taylor, Angel Island and Richardson Bay for public use. George also recalls the Livermore family heritage and the century-old Napa County estate, “Montesol.”
