Listen to Frank Lloyd and Others Answer Questions about the Marin County Civic Center

Frank Lloyd Wright's speeches to the citizens of Marin in 1957 and 1958 and interviews with architects, politicians and journalists form the basis of this inter-active exhibition where you can listen to the key players recount their part in the history of the Marin County Civic Center.

The past will come alive as Frank Lloyd Wright, architects William Wesley Peters and Aaron Green, former Supervisor Vera Schultz, and others, speak about the design and creation of Marin’s landmark government center and fairgrounds. The recordings used for this site are from the oral history archive of the Anne T. Kent California Room of the Civic Center Library. Eight new interviews were conducted especially for the 2004 Marin County Fair.
