California Room

The Anne T. Kent California Room in the Civic Center Library contains a collection of books and materials about Frank Lloyd Wright, his architecture, and the National and California Landmark Marin County Civic Center building. A video that includes an architectural tour gives the background leading up to the hiring of Mr. Wright. There are audiotapes of Mr. Wright's talks to the community describing his plans for the Civic Center. A collection of news clippings gives the day-to-day progress on the building's construction. The California Room has copies of the Civic Center's drawings and an architectural history, Frank Lloyd Wright: An Architecture for Democracy by Aaron Green, Mr. Wright's associate.
