Marin County Fair: Always Fresh, Fun & Local
This year, the Marin County Fair, June 30 through July 4, will celebrate the rich and varied traditions that have become the foundations for fairs all across the United States. Originally begun in the early 1800s as a way for farmers to find out about new farming methods and equipment, agricultural fairs evolved into annual family get-togethers where communities could enjoy competitions, exhibits and entertainment.   Learn more
Exhibit Hall 2012
The signature exhibit will feature the photography of M. B. Boissevain, a farm advisor during the early 20th century who documented agricultural practices of farms and ranches throughout Marin County. These stunning photographs will be put into a new historical retrospective of “then and now” images with photographers returning to the places in 2012 where the original images were taken and shooting new photos to show how the areas appear now.   Learn more
National Library Week – April 2012
The Marin County Free Library and the Marin County Fair invite everyone to celebrate National Library week, “You belong @ your library” April 8th – 14th and the forthcoming 2012 Marin County Fair’s celebration of the legacy and future of Marin agriculture. Be sure to visit the Children’s Room at your local Marin County Free Library branch during April 2012 to view a reproduction of the charming 1937 map, Marvelous Marin County that permanently lives on display in the Anne T. Kent California Room.   Learn more
Fair Concerts 2012
The Marin County Fair is renowned for its top headliner concerts that take place every night of the Fair and are included with Fair gate admission! Featuring a diverse and entertaining line-up with something for everyone, performers will range from rock n’ roll to reggae to Mowtown as the Marin County Fair rocks over the July 4th holiday weekend.   Learn more
Fair Favorites
Enjoy spectacular fireworks shows every night of the Fair! There’ll also be a wide array of wonderful farm animals from bunnies to dairy cows, and thrilling carnival rides by Butler Amusements, including the grand 10-story Giant Gondola Wheel. Impressive displays of fine arts and crafts, including textiles, painting and photography focusing on the Always Fresh, Fun & Local theme, will fill the Exhibit Hall — and all are included in your price of admission!

We look forward to seeing you at the Marin County Fair during the July 4th weekend!   Learn more
