County attorneys are frequently called upon to address constitutional issues, including issues involving freedom of speech and religion, right to privacy, and procedural and substantive due process, to name a few.
Litigation attorneys appear at all levels in the state and federal court system. Cases range from routine auto accidents, slip and falls, vehicular roadway cases to complex land use, inverse condemnation, civil rights and employment law cases. Advisory attorneys actively assist in reviewing, interpreting, and drafting county legislation, as well as reviewing a myriad of contracts for virtually every facet of County government. Our attorneys are also active in local, regional and statewide organizations, and are often called upon to lecture on current legal issues.
