MARIN COUNTY EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION
NEW MEDICAL PLAN ARRANGEMENT
INFORMATION FOR RETIREES AND BENEFICIARIES
RECEIVING MEDICAL INSURANCE THROUGH
THE COUNTY OF MARIN

The County of Marin's new medical insurance plans
will be effective January 1, 2012.

There will be a Medical Plan Redesign Event for retirees and beneficiaries
from October 1, 2011 until November 14, 2011.

An announcement related to County of Marin medical plan changes, as well as side-by-side comparisons of the plans, has been mailed to MCERA retirees and beneficiaries currently receiving medical insurance through their monthly MCERA benefit allowance.

Please note that the Medical Plan Redesign Event is not an Open Enrollment opportunity, but an opportunity for those currently covered by County of Marin medical insurance plans to make a change.

All available documents related to the Medical Plan Redesign Event are posted below. Information about plan costs will be posted as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Coverage under the new medical plans is effective January 1, 2012. However, the change in medical premiums will be reflected in your December 2011 MCERA retirement allowance.
