Retirement Board Elections: One General Seat, Two Safety Seats
Updated May 2013

Elections will be conducted this summer for the Second General Member, Seventh Safety Member and Alternate Safety Member seats on the Retirement Board. The term of office for each seat is for three years beginning November 1, 2013.

Annual Benefit Statements Mailed
Posted December 2012

Annual Benefit Statements for the period ending June 30, 2012 have been mailed to active, deferred and reciprocal members.

Service Credit
Because our new benefit administration software system stores member account data with a higher level of precision, some members may see changes reported in their service credit when compared to prior Annual Benefit Statements. Unique periods of employment that you may have, like leave without pay and part-time service, can affect your service credit. Our new software system is able to capture this information more accurately to properly reflect your service credit in the current statement.

No statement in this electronic document is considered a legally binding interpretation, enlargement, or amendment of the provisions contained in the County Employees' Retirement Law of 1937 or By-Laws of the Board of Retirement. Those provisions control all rights and benefits provided for each member, retiree, and qualified beneficiary.
