Communities of Excellence (CX3)
The goal for the CX3 project in Marin County is to educate and promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables, access to healthy foods and physical activity in safe, walkable neighborhoods in Marin County. The Nutrition Wellness Program is coordinating this effort with community partners and promotores to deliver two key messages that will help us achieve our goal:
1. "Eat Right when Money is Tight;"
2. "We Speak up for Healthy Changes;"
CX3 is also a powerful tool that harnesses all of the neighborhood level data in order to
promote healthier communities. Armed with this data, health and nutrition advocates
around the State are engaging and inspiring community members and partners to pursue
healthy food access and safe, walkable neighborhoods (called the California Convergence).
CX³is a project of the Network for a Healthy California (CDPH) in partnership with local
health departments.
