The Housing Authority provides rental assistance through low-rent public
housing and leased housing programs; serves as implementing agency for county-assisted
rehabilitation programs for owner-occupants and below rental market sales programs within
the county and cities. It also provides supportive services for special needs populations.
The Housing Authority was established under State enabling legislation, and
includes Federally funded programs.
The Housing Authority Director is appointed by the Housing Authority Board
of Commissioners, whose members are also the County of Marin's Board of Supervisers.
