Our mission is to protect public health by issuing permits for public water systems and the drilling of water wells, operation of domestic water systems, well destruction, monitoring wells, cathodic protection wells, soil borings, after ensuring that all relevant codes are followed.

The Water Program employs a preventive approach to assure that groundwater will not be exposed to chemical/bacterial contamination and people will not be exposed to safety hazards associated with improperly constructed or abandoned wells.

EHS Water Program Fee Schedule - Effective July 1, 2011 A technology fee surcharge of $10 will be assessed on each permit separately from the permit fee in order to offset County costs associated with the permit tracking system.
