PG&E's Pacific Energy Center offers educational programs, design tools, advice, and support to create energy efficient buildings and comfortable indoor environments. They provide free classes and seminars in architecture, renewable energy, whole building systems, HVAC systems, and lighting.

The Solar Living Institute is a non-profit educational organization that promotes sustainable living through a variety of classes and events at their Hopland, CA site. Classes and workshops cover topics such as solar, bio-diesel, permaculture and natural building.

logo National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI)

In January and February 2004, Marin County CDA in coordination with NARI and Alameda County Waste Management Authority held a certification course for licensed contractors. This course was taught by building professionals and provided a comprehensive resource binder, networking opportunities, and a enhanced marketing opportunity to expand the contractors' business through green building.
