Energy Upgrade California encourages homeowners to think about their home working as a complete system, a "whole house," rather than focusing on individual elements within a house. Homeowners will be encouraged to undertake a home performance assessment to determine which upgrades are best for their house. They will have a choice of energy upgrade options eligible for rebates, from basic energy-efficient weatherization, insulation and sealing of their house, to other options such as installing energy-efficient windows, tankless water heaters, cool roofs, and efficient air conditioning and heating systems.
Participating contractors will receive:
The benefit of a full-scale, countywide media launch
Placement of company name and information on the program website
Access to the statewide website for creating alliances between general and specialty contractors
A marketing toolkit with program brochures, marketing collateral and multimedia presentations for customers
