          The FACTS about
        Marin Clean Energy

                 Renewable By Choice

QUICK LINKS

"The more we learn about Marin Clean Energy - its capacity to curb greenhouse gas emissions, develop Marin's green economy and jobs, reinvest locally instead of sending our money out of county - the more we like it. To maintain quality of life in Marin, we've got to begin the ecological U-turn. Clearly, MCE is the most impactful thing Marin County can do to combat climate change in the short ter, while we continue to work on fixing transportation and housing."

Community Choice Aggregation

In 2002, Assembly Bill 117, known as Community Choice Aggregation or CCA, enabled California cities and counties with the right to procure energy on behalf of electric consumers within their jurisdictions.

The CCA system has been adopted into law in the states of California, Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

Currently, nearly 1 million Americans receive service from CCAs.
