Welcome. I am truly honored to have been appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to succeed Hal Brown in representing the 2nd District on the Marin County Board of Supervisors. I am also incredibly fortunate to have worked for the past eight years as Administrative Aide and close advisor to Supervisor Hal Brown, who retired in October 2011 after almost 30 years as Supervisor. My lifelong residence in Marin, love of its communities and remarkable natural environment, commitment to public service and experience working with Hal, has provided me with a deep, working knowledge of District and County issues and Ross Valley residents' concerns, as well as strong working relationships with community members and local government representatives. As County Supervisor, I will focus on working to ensure that county government is as efficient and effective as possible in fulfilling its legal mandates, as well as in implementing the projects and programs that the community identifies as priorities. Most importantly, as my predecessor taught me so well, I will do my best to make sure that government is receptive and responsive to the concerns of its residents. The Second District is the Ross Valley from the top of White's Hill in Fairfax to Highway 101 in Greenbrae. It includes Fairfax, Oak Manor, San Anselmo, Sleepy Hollow, Ross, Kentfield, Greenbrae, the old town areas of Larkspur and Gerstle Park, Bret Harte and Lomita Park in San Rafael.
