Welcome Welcome to the District 1 website. This website provides an opportunity to share my priorities, what we are working on, and what we have accomplished. It is important to stay connected and share information on the important issues. Click here if you wish to subscribe to the monthly electronic newsletter which is a great way to stay current in the district. I am available to attend neighborhood meetings and I am accessible by telephone, email, or personal appointment. Please call Rick Fraites at 415-499-7354 for scheduling. You can also visit the Government Channel at: www.co.marin.ca.us/G-Channel/Default.aspx, which is a great way to view public meetings and to stay current on matters coming to the Board of Supervisors and other policy-setting agencies. You can view webcasts of public meetings and have access to all documents submitted on agenda items, watch interviews with our key policy-makers on current issues, and access public health updates. As you will see on this site, I serve on many boards and commissions, some of which are local collaborative groups like the Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health Committee and the Disaster Council. Some are regional planning and policy setting organizations (Association of Bay Area Governments), statewide (California State Association of Counties) and national (National Association of Counties). There are many Boards and Commissions that are advisory to the Board of Supervisors to which the members of the public can be appointed. Please check out the section on this website for vacancies if you are interested in applying to serve on a particular Board or Commission.
