Recorded Documents

The Recorder's Section of our office maintains an archive containing over 8 million documents recorded since 1841. These documents include deeds, deeds of trust, liens and maps. Each document is numbered and listed on an index. The index is updated daily with the prior day's recordings. In addition to recorded documents, this section of our office also maintains copies of birth, death and marriage certificates. Copies of public documents are available for a fee in the Copy Center, room 232.
