IPM Commission and IPM Coordinator

IPM Commission and IPM Coordinator

Purpose/Duties: To oversee implementation of the Marin County Integrated Pest Management policy and plan, advise, and make recommendations to the IPM Coordinator and Board of Supervisors as needed.

IPM Coordinator: Ed Hulme (415) 499-6531, Parks and Open Space Parks Administrator

Meetings: The Commission meets on the 4th Friday of January, April, July and October in the Marin County Civic Center. The meeting time is generally 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Additional meetings may be scheduled throughout the year as needed. The meeting agenda and location will be posted on the website before each meeting.

Qualifications: 1 - Director of Marin County Department of Public Works or designee
1 - Director of Marin County Parks & Open Space; or designee
1 - Representative of Health Council of Marin or designee
1 - Licensed pest control applicator or pest control advisor who is supportive of least-toxic IPM practices and is not a County employee
1 - Marin County Health Officer or designee
1 - Representative of University of California experienced and educated in IPM practices
5 - One appointed by each Supervisor, representing the community at large, recognized environmental and/or health organizations.
