Kentfield College Avenue Vision Plan
The Kentfield/Greenbrae Community Plan was adopted over twenty years ago and lacks an up to date design plan for downtown Kentfield. To address this issue, the Kentfield Planning Advisory Board (KPAB) and other community members have expressed interest in developing a "Vision Plan" for downtown Kentfield. Given the importance of the College Avenue corridor to the character of Kentfield, the Community Development Agency, in conjunction with Supervisor Hal Brown's office and the College of Marin, has initiated a proactive planning process with the goal of developing consensus on the community's vision for their downtown commercial area. The planning process will involve a series of meetings and a walking tour with community stakeholders including representatives from local community groups, school districts, businesses, and property owners, leading to a community-wide workshop.

Over the past several months, the College Avenue Vision Plan Committee has been working on a plan to improve the appearance, character and function of College Avenue. The Committee's suggestions, ranging from pedestrian amenities to street design changes, have been illustrated graphically in three potential "development concepts" which are now available for review (click here) and were presented at a recent Community Workshop on Saturday, September 25th at the Bacich Community Center (copies of the material presented at the workshop can be viewed at the links provided below).
We want to know what you think! So please review the Committee's ideas at the links indicated. If you have questions, comments, or want to be added to the mailing list, please contact:
