BIOGRAPHY - Catherine Lloyd Rice

Katie was raised in Mill Valley by parents Jim and Pamela Lloyd, graduating from Tamalpais High School in 1978. She attended Sonoma State University and received degrees in Liberal Studies and English. She is also a graduate of the 31st class of the Marin Environmental Forum.

Katie lived and worked in West Marin and West Sonoma from 1981 – 1995, before settling in San Anselmo where she has resided for the last 16 years.

Katie has three children, Kellam, 24, Jamie, 21, and Aiden, 14.

Katie also has two dogs (one very old, one very immature), one cat, a horse (actually her daughter’s), many bikes and remembers fondly her chicken, Prudence, whose untimely death has left the backyard garden much less interesting.
